Associate Professor in Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI).  This role focuses on delivering high-quality undergraduate education, conducting impactful research, and fostering industry collaborations in the domain of generative models, including large language models (LLMs), generative adversarial networks (GANs), diffusion models, and foundation models.

We seek an academic leader and researcher with a strong background in AI and expertise in generative technologies to shape the future of AI education and innovation. The successful candidate will help position the department as a national and international center of excellence in Generative AI research, teaching, and industrial impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and develop undergraduate courses in Generative AI, including LLMs, GANs, diffusion models, and related topics.
• Supervise student research, capstone projects, and independent studies in generative AI applications.
• Conduct and publish original research in generative models and their real-world applications.
• Secure external research funding from academic, governmental, or industry sources.
• Collaborate with industry partners on research, student internships, and applied AI projects.
• Integrate ethical, responsible AI practices into teaching and research.
• Contribute to curriculum development and participate in academic planning and governance.
• Lead and support academic outreach activities such as seminars, workshops, and conferences

Required Qualifications:

• PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a closely related field.
• Strong research record in Generative AI or related areas, with publications in leading venues.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate or postgraduate AI-related courses.
• Experience supervising student research or project work.
• Ability to attract research funding and build interdisciplinary collaborations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry experience in developing or applying generative AI models or systems.
• Experience in academic program development or curriculum innovation.
• Active collaborations with industry or government bodies in AI-related projects.
• Familiarity with ethics, governance, and policy issues surrounding generative AI.
